SEMI is a Brooklyn based jewelry line. All pieces are designed and created by Ren Ariel Sano. Ren emphasizes the tactile quality of the materials and strives to make pieces that are meant to be felt as much as they are meant to be seen.

From Ren!

“I have been making jewelry since I was a little girl and I am very passionate about it. There is something so special about an accessory that was made with love which is why I love the Etsy community. I draw inspiration from everywhere but especially European gypsy culture of the 17th century and kitschy West Coast Americana, so I try to combine elements of both. I want my jewelry to be easy and comfortable but bright and interesting enough to draw a lot of attention. I like accessories that are really low maintenance but make a huge statement.”

A huge statement indeed Ren! Girls, these goodies are HOT!!! Semijewels is an awesome ETSY shop that offers super colorful and fun, fashionable accessories for all of us to enjoy! This is one of my favs – how unique is that!!!!? Seriously, I don’t think I could make something this artistically awesome in my dreams. I know a few people who go crazy over  it! How on Earth can someone just make this!? As much as I love handmade, this is one thing I would absolutely just BUY!

Sweet Sixteen Cuff Bracelet

and then if that were not enough…

Double Chain Loop Bracelet

I knoooow! Wouldn’t someone on your gift list just go freak-a-zoid when they open THIS box!? Girls, you just can’t find something like this at Walmart. Nope.

So here you go – that perfect something you were waiting for. I adore Ren’s designs at semijewels because I am ALL ABOUT that one special and unique gift. It’s so easy this time of year to get carried away with all the hoopla of buy buy buy more gifts than you could ever imagine. But this Christmas… I have worked extra hard to really think of the one perfect gift for everyone on our list.. I wanted to make it as green as possible while giving something special. I have found that by supporting ETSY owners – I can make a difference while finding the perfect gift. It’s so easy to give in to the commercialism, but my hope for you….

is that you will have seen the joy and beauty in a handmade holiday this Christmas!

I have embraced the simplicity and meaning of the season. I have bought with purpose and that makes me feel so good! Whether you choose to buy from ETSY artisans or eco-friendly greenie stores – you can be assured that you are digging deep into supporting eco-shops and small business owners while protecting what our Lord made…our home…

Giving gifts with meaning and purpose, from people who care can make a huge difference. It’s not about the amount, it’s about the meaning. I hope you have enjoyed Funtastically Green’s “12 Days of Handmade Holidays” and that you have been inspired to purchase with purpose – or to create your own special gifts!

Merry Christmas!!!
